Empowering Change Through Web Redesign

Starting Over is a non-profit organization dedicated to breaking cycles of poverty, homelessness, and incarceration in East Los Angeles. I redesigned their website to improve usability, accessibility, and conversion—ensuring the people who need support can easily access the resources they rely on.

Designing to make business process automation smoother and more intuitive

Non-profit websites often struggle with poor usability, cluttered content, and unclear navigation, making it difficult for people in need to find help. The existing Starting Over website had a disorganized information structure that made critical resources difficult to access, limiting its impact.

I led the information architecture redesign, streamlining content organization to ensure clear navigation and accessibility across web and mobile. Our goal was to increase engagement and conversions—helping those in need connect with housing, legal aid, and support services more easily.

We designed with real-world inclusivity in mind, focusing on readability, accessibility, and ease of use for diverse audiences, including those with limited digital literacy.
