...a Bay Area-based UI/UX product designer driven by a deep passion for crafting meaningful user-centered digital experiences.
With a degree in design from UC Davis and a track record of collaborating with early-stage startups, I bring a unique blend of creativity and strategic thinking to every project.
I graduated from UC Davis with a degree in design in 2019. Following Covid-19, I had entered the professional world in software sales at Modal and CaptivateIQ. While I knew I would not be in sales for my long term career, I knew I did want to develop the valuable interpersonal and negotiation skills learned in sales. After a couple years, it was time for me to move back towards my passion for design, specifically in UI/UX product design.
Although I had a degree in design and experience at a pre-seed startup, both in strategy and design of the brand and prototype, I knew I had to refresh my skills with the new industry standards. I found the UC Berkeley extension UI/UX course, where I reacquainted myself with design practices of UX research, design tools such as Figma, and web development. During my time in class, I had been working with a startup as a part-time designer, developing UI prototypes, the website and branding elements. After working part-time at Moda AI, I was hired as a full-time designer where I would lead product development and design, as well as branding design when we would pivot into Momentum AI.
Outside of the previously mentioned design experiences, I have co-found a family winery. While coordinating the different moving pieces of sourcing grapes, facilities, and wine-makers, I headed the design on the wine brand. The packaging design, the website, and overall brand identity are responsibilities I lead.
I have a diverse set of exposures in both my professional career as well as my design experience, making me a well-rounded and developed designer. I have always been highly creative and had an aptitude for thinking holistically about perspectives, which is why I have an innate knack for empathetic design thinking. That coupled with my deep passion for “making things” is why I am a designer.
Beyond my career in design, I’m someone who thrives on staying active and pursuing a variety of passions. I have a background in water polo and swimming, sports that taught me the value of perseverance, teamwork, and dedication — qualities that continue to shape my approach to life and design.
I also have a deep love for food and cooking, where I find joy in experimenting with new recipes and exploring different cuisines. I am an avid golfer, taking on the challenges and enjoying the time spent outdoors. During the winter, you can find me skiing, most likely in Tahoe.
I also pursue design-adjacent hobbies like photography, which allow me to explore visual storytelling in a different medium. These interests outside of work keep me curious and active, continually inspiring my design practice with new ideas and perspectives.
